In this podcast Adam Young interviews Stringer who says, “Sexual arousal is one of the greatest gifts God has given to us and we do not need to spend a lifetime annihilating it. There is another approach.” It begins with a gentle curiosity about our longings. We do not need to condemn our arousal, nor give it carte blanche. I (James) grew up ashamed about my sexuality and only recently have become convinced that listening with gentleness to my sexual desires was an invitation to something profoundly liberating.

Recent research is uncovering that the specifics of people’s sexual struggles are often shaped and predicted by the parts of their stories that remain unaddressed. What if sexual struggles are not random? This podcast suggests that, in the kindness and wildness of God, these struggles are pointing to specific places of past brokenness and are offering a future road map to the good and beautiful sex we crave.
